Goodwin lawyers Cammy Contizano (Private Equity), and James Spence (Real Estate) have been announced as Law360 Rising Stars for 2020. The annual list recognizes lawyers under 40 whose legal accomplishments transcend their age.
Based in the Washington, DC office, Contizano is a partner in the firm’s Private Equity group and its Impact and Responsible Investing practice, where she advises on minority investment and buyout transactions for private equity, growth equity and impact investors, as well as on private tender offers for a host of clients, including companies, mutual fund complexes and private equity and growth equity investors. Contizano serves as co-chair of the DC chapter of Women@Goodwin, supporting the firm’s efforts to develop, advance and retain female lawyers, and is also a Private Equity Pro Bono Committee member. She was recently named a 2020 DCA Live Emerging Woman Leader in Private Practice.
Spence is a London-based partner in the firm’s Real Estate Industry group, where he has a broad range of experience in domestic and cross-border real estate investments and private M&A transactions, with a focus on operational real estate assets and businesses. He is a member of Goodwin’s PropSci Practice Steering Committee, which supports the unique real estate needs of life sciences companies, and is also involved with Goodwin’s PropTech practice, advising clients at the intersection of real estate and technology. Spence is the Graduate Recruitment partner for London, and his responsibilities include conducting the office’s training contract interview process and coordinating UK recruitment efforts.
