Lawyers for Civil Rights Honor Goodwin Debt Finance Team

Lawyers for Civil Rights recognized the pro bono efforts of a Goodwin Private Equity Debt Finance team at their annual meeting on June 25th. Goodwin was honored for providing pro bono legal services to over 40 small businesses applying for loans through the CARES Act’s Paycheck Protection Program, a vital initiative providing small businesses with funds to cover payroll costs.   

The Goodwin team included finance partners and associates from Boston, New York, Los Angeles, San Francisco and Santa Monica. Lawyers and staff who donated their time included Jennifer Bralower, Dylan BrownAnna DodsonKevin Grumberg, Liz Jordan, Emily Josef, Bryan Judd, Timothy Kim, Jennifer NecasKris Ring, Chris Steinroeder, Melissa Wright and Matt Jose.

Lawyers for Civil Rights is a Boston-based nonprofit legal organization that fosters equal opportunity and fights discrimination on behalf of people of color and immigrants through legal action, education, and advocacy in collaboration with law firms and community partners.

Goodwin’s Debt Finance practice consists of more than fifty lawyers focused on lending transactions, with deep expertise in private credit transactions, broadly syndicated facilities, acquisition financings, asset-based lending, junior capital, venture debt, unitranche facilities, real estate finance, loan portfolio purchases and sales, loan workouts and restructurings.
