Anthony McCusker Recognized by Daily Journal's 2020 California Lawyer Attorneys of the Year Awards

Partner Anthony McCusker has been named 2020 California Lawyer Attorney of the Year (CLAY) in Capital Markets by the Daily Journal for his work representing the underwriting syndicate in Lyft’s March 2019 IPO that raised $2.34 billion. The CLAY awards recognize lawyers throughout California whose work has made a significant impact on the law, the legal profession and their practice area.

The Goodwin team worked with an underwriting syndicate featuring twenty-nine financial institutions. The drafting of the prospectus for the groundbreaking IPO took place over 6 months, and was a collaborative process among the lawyers, Lyft, underwriters and auditors.

McCusker is a partner in and co-chair of Goodwin’s Technology practice. He specializes in all areas of corporate, securities and partnership laws, with a primary focus on advising emerging-growth technology companies, and is a key contributor to Goodwin's Founders Workbench, an online resource for start-ups, emerging companies and entrepreneurs. McCusker has been named an American Lawyer Dealmaker of the Year and Law360 Technology MVP, and his work has also received recognition from Chambers USA, Legal 500 US and Daily Journal.
