BOSTON, September 27, 2012 — The Boston Business Journal recently named Regina M. Pisa, Chairman of Goodwin Procter LLP, to the publication’s 2012 ‘Power 50’ list. The annual list, now in its second year, recognizes influential industry and civic leaders driving change within the Boston economy.
In addition to her role as Chairman, Pisa also served as the firm’s Managing Partner from 1998 to 2012 and was the first woman to lead an AmLaw 100 law firm in the United States. Under her strategic guidance, Goodwin Procter transformed dramatically from a major regional law firm to a leading national firm with more than $700 million in revenue. This year, Goodwin Procter celebrates the centennial of its founding in Boston.
In addition to her professional responsibilities, Pisa maintains deep involvement in several community organizations and important social causes. For many years, she has served on the boards of Boston-area nonprofits, with a special focus on organizations that work to improve the lives of children.
This year’s ‘Power 50’ leaders represent a wide variety of industries and backgrounds. Business leaders were chosen based on proven track records that detail strong leadership focus, community engagement and professional accomplishments. This is the second year Pisa has been named to the Boston Business Journal’s ‘Power 50’ list.
The full list can be viewed on the Boston Business Journal’s website and honorees will be recognized at the first ever BBJ ‘Power 50’ event, to be held Nov. 1 at the Boston Harbor Hotel.
