Brian O’Neill is Knowledge & Innovation Counsel in Goodwin’s Private Investment Funds group. Brian joined Goodwin in 2017, and was previously an associate in the International Funds team at King & Wood Mallesons (formerly SJ Berwin).
Brian deals primarily with investment fund structuring, fund formation and fund raising, investor negotiation and carried interest and coinvestment arrangements. In addition he has experience with acting for purchasers of fund management businesses and advising investors on investments in various types of funds. His practice covers a range of asset classes including buyout, infrastructure, debt and venture capital.
Brian’s clients have previously included SL Capital Partners, Abingworth, Environmental Technologies Fund, PAI Partners, Capital Dynamics, and Endless. He has also established carried interest and coinvestment plans for 3i and a large UK bank.
