Jesse Nevarez is a partner in the firm’s Business Law Department and a member of its Technology and Life Sciences groups.

Mr. Nevarez’s practice centers on representing technology and life sciences companies focused on digital media, software, food delivery, advertising, biotechnology, pharmaceuticals, medical devices, diagnostics and other related specialties. In particular, he regularly advises entrepreneurs, startups, emerging companies and public companies on a variety of matters including company formations, seed, venture and growth equity financings, mergers and acquisitions, SEC compliance, IPOs, and other capital markets transactions. He also represents venture capital funds and investment banks focusing on technology and life sciences companies.

Mr. Nevarez has been named to the Lawyers of Color “Hot List” and named a Massachusetts Super Lawyer “Rising Star”.

Mr. Nevarez is a member of the Boston Bar Association, the Massachusetts Black Lawyers Association, the New York State Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is also a member of the Boston College Law School Black Alumni Network and has served as a mentor for the MIT $100K Launch Competition.

Mr. Nevarez joined Goodwin in 2013.  Prior to joining Goodwin, he was an associate at Choate, Hall & Stewart LLP.
