Siobhan Murphy is a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Industry group. Siobhan’s primary focus is in the Real Estate Joint Ventures and Finance Practice, where she specializes in complex commercial real estate transactions, including acquisitions, dispositions and investments in the form of equity and debt. Siobhan is also a member of the Private Investment Funds Practice. She joined the firm in 2001.
Experience
Siobhan represents professional real estate investors in investments in a variety of real estate assets, including office, industrial, warehouse, apartment, condominium, senior housing, retail, hospitality and data center assets around the country. Her clients include public REITs, insurance companies, investment advisors, private investors, developers, operators, banks and foreign investors utilizing a variety of complex structures, including joint ventures, preferred equity and merger transactions. Siobhan’s work for clients in connection with these investments includes acquisitions, dispositions, and construction, mezzanine, and permanent financings. Siobhan has experience with complicated mixed use and multi-phase development transactions, large portfolio transactions, and workouts, restructurings and other transactions involving distressed assets. Siobhan also represents sponsors of private investment funds in fund formation and co-investment transactions. She is a member of the Operational Real Estate working group, which has expertise with real estate assets that focus on services, amenities and operational needs. Siobhan is the co-lead of Goodwin’s Data Center working group, which was formed to identify and respond to client needs in this rapidly growing asset class.
