Megan Gustafson is an associate in the Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of the Technology and Life Sciences group. Dr. Gustafson advises companies on patent portfolio development and strategy. She also advises investors on intellectual property issues relating to public and private financing and other transactions. Dr. Gustafson practices primarily in the life sciences, with a focus on biotechnology.

Professional Experience
Dr. Gustafson has practiced law in Massachusetts and Tennessee. Prior to joining Goodwin, Dr. Gustafson was a technology specialist in the Boston office of K&L Gates. Prior to her legal career, Dr. Gustafson earned her doctorate at MIT in the laboratory of Nobel laureate Bob Horvitz, where she studied serotonin and neuropeptide signaling.
