Goodwin partner Anthony McCusker was named to Daily Journal’s Top 100 Lawyers in California for 2020. This award recognizes the elite California lawyers across the state who have engaged in cutting-edge legal work over the past year and throughout their career.
The publication highlighted McCusker’s representation of management software company Qualtrics throughout their $8 billion acquisition by German multinational software company SAP SE. The cross-border transaction took place only two weeks before Qualtrics was set to go public through an IPO, and represents one of the “largest sales of a private VC-backed technology company in history.”
Based in the firm’s Silicon Valley office, McCusker is a partner in and Co-Chair of Goodwin’s Technology group. He is well known among companies, investors, and competitors for his market presence and legal expertise advising emerging and established technology companies throughout their corporate lifecycle.
In addition to his practice, McCusker is committed to helping aspiring entrepreneurs build their companies. He is a key contributor to Goodwin’s Founders Workbench, a first-of-its-kind online resource providing free documents and resources to startups, emerging companies and the entrepreneurial community. He also fosters and leads Goodwin’s sponsorship of numerous startup accelerator programs, including UC Berkeley’s SkyDeck.
