Bastien is a partner and leads Goodwin’s Luxembourg tax practice.
He advises asset managers, institutional investors, multinational technology and life sciences companies, and high-net-worth individuals on all aspects of international taxation and cross-border structuring.
He focuses in particular on investment fund work across a wide variety of strategies: private equity, real estate, infrastructure, venture capital, debt, hedge funds and more.

Bastien’s recent representative experience includes advising:
- TA Associates on the tax structuring of its latest $16.5 billion flagship fund, TA XV
- ICG on the tax aspects of the formation and fundraising of its eighth generation of flagship European corporate fund at €8.1 Billion
- LGT Private Debt on the tax structuring of Crown European Private Debt III
- Tokoro Capital on the tax aspects of the acquisition of an office building located in the 9th arrondissement of Paris
