Bruce Tribush, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Industry group and chair of its Design & Construction group, focuses his practice on commercial real estate transactions, with a particular emphasis on real estate finance, development and investment.

Experience

Bruce represents commercial lenders and borrowers in secured and unsecured credit facilities, construction loans, permanent loans, bridge loans, mezzanine debt transactions, loan participations and loan restructurings; owners and developers in the acquisition, financing and development of real estate; owners, developers, lenders, design professionals and construction professionals in design and construction matters; landlords and tenants in commercial leasing transactions; and institutional and private investors in debt and equity real estate investments.

Bruce devotes a significant portion of his practice to representing a broad range of clients in design and construction matters. This representation includes: advising clients on project delivery methods and procurement of design and construction services; negotiating design and construction contracts; structuring and negotiating equity and debt financing documents; negotiating development agreements; and counseling clients with respect to contract interpretation, liens, payment issues, contract defaults, project changes, project close out management, warranty and defect claims, claims assessment, indemnification and insurance.

Bruce’s extensive work in real estate spans numerous asset classes, including lab and life science, industrial and manufacturing, retail, restaurant and office, hospitality and leisure, sale and rental multifamily, higher education, energy generation and distribution, data centers, and sports and entertainment arenas, venues, and facilities.

Professional Activities

Bruce is an active member of the Boston Bar Association and the American Bar Association. He is a former co-chair of the Boston Bar Association’s Real Estate Section, a member and former co-chair of the Boston Bar Association Construction Law Committee, a former member of the Boston Bar Association’s Real Estate Section Steering Committee, and a member of the American Bar Association’s Forum on the Construction Industry. Bruce has lectured on design and construction matters for CLE International, Massachusetts Continuing Legal Education and the Boston Bar Association.
