Matt Nestor

Matt is an associate in Goodwin’s Business Law department and a member of its Private Equity group. 

Matt advises on a broad range of corporate matters, with a focus on private equity and private M&A transactions. His experience includes advising on private M&A acquisitions and disposals, and advising private equity sponsors on mid-market buy-outs and investments. 

• Advised H.I.G. Capital on the acquisition by one of its affiliates of the entire issued share capital of Axis Europe
• Advised SynAffix B.V. (“Synaffix”) and its selling shareholders on its sale to Lonza Group AG (“Lonza”)
• Advised Hg Capital, together with its affiliated investment funds, (“Hg”), in connection with their agreement to sell, alongside Insight Partners (a minority shareholder), their entire stake in Dext Software Ltd (“Dext”) to IRIS Software Group (“IRIS”)
• Advised Accel as lead investor in the US$90 million Series C fundraising round in artificial intelligence-based video generation platform Synthesia
• Advised H.I.G. Capital on its acquisition of the entire issued share capital of Sleepeezee, a UK-based producer of bespoke and luxury beds and mattresses
• Advised Raspberry Pi in its strategic investment from Sony Semiconductor Solutions Corporation

Prior to joining Goodwin in 2022, Matt worked at the Bank of England and His Majesty’s Treasury.
