Jessica Huang joined Goodwin in 2021 and is an associate in the firm’s Complex Litigation & Dispute Resolution practice. Jessica has experience prosecuting and defending clients in a variety of disputes, including labor and employment, real estate, and general business litigation, and in advising and defending clients in the cannabis and cryptocurrency industries.
Jessica contributes to Goodwin’s Securities Snapshot, a bi-weekly newsletter highlighting news from the civil and criminal securities law arenas.
Jessica maintains and is committed to an active pro bono practice. Her recent matters include representing incarcerated individuals in Louisiana convicted by Jim Crow juries, assisting them in seeking post-conviction relief.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Jessica was a litigation associate at Fox Rothschild LLP in San Francisco, and also previously a Legal Research Attorney to the Honorable Curtis E.A. Karnow in the Complex Litigation Department at the Superior Court of California, County of San Francisco.
During law school, Jessica was a judicial extern for Justice Goodwin Liu, California Supreme Court, and Judge William H. Orrick III, U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California; a law clerk for the Tort and Condemnation Section of the California Department of Justice in San Francisco; a legislative researcher at the Office of National Drug Control Policy in Washington, D.C.; and a two-time law student delegate to Haiti with the Hastings-to-Haiti Partnership, a collaboration between UC Hastings College of the Law and the École Supérieure Catholique de Droit de Jérémie.
Professional Activities
Jessica sits on the Board of Directors of the legal non-profit Asian Pacific Islander Legal Outreach (APILO) and is Chair of its Personnel Committee. She is also a member of the Professional Network for Human Rights, the volunteer arm of the Center for Justice and Accountability.
