Samuel Honnywill is an associate in Goodwin’s Antitrust and Competition practice. Samuel advises on a wide range of competition law issues, including EU, UK and international merger control and foreign direct investment filings, as well as competition and antitrust compliance.

Samuel’s recent experience includes advising:
- Celanese on the formation of Nutrinova, a food ingredients joint venture with Mitsui*
- Swoctem GmbH on the voluntary public takeover offer to acquire all outstanding shares of Klöckner & Co. SE.*
- A company on an FCA competition market study into wholesale data markets*
- Anglo American on the formation of a mining joint venture with Vale*

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin, Samuel was a trainee solicitor at Shearman & Sterling and subsequently A&O Shearman following the merger between Allen & Overy and Shearman & Sterling. Samuel gained experience in antitrust and competition, international arbitration, investment funds and leveraged finance.
