Anuj Ghai is a senior associate in Goodwin’s Antitrust and Competition practice. He represents international companies before the European Commission and the UK's Competition and Markets Authority in a wide range of competition law matters, in particular merger control, antitrust litigation, and antitrust compliance. He has extensive experience assisting clients in obtaining UK, EU, and foreign merger control and foreign investment clearances for their transactions. His experience covers several industry sectors including technology, financial services, life science, insurance, and retail. In addition to his merger control experience, Anuj has developed significant experience advising clients on a range of other antitrust-related matters including: behavioural investigations, market investigations, and antitrust compliance.

Prior to joining Goodwin, Anuj practiced at Latham & Watkins LLP in Brussels and London.

  • Deciphera Pharmaceuticals in its proposed $2.4 billion acquisition by ONO Pharmaceutical
  • Thoma Bravo and its portfolio company Flexera in the acquisition of IT asset management firm Snow Software
  • Mariana Oncology in its acquisition by Novartis for $1 billion upfront and up to $750 million in potential milestone payments
  • Fusion Pharmaceuticals in its definitive agreement to be acquired by AstraZeneca
  • TA Associates in connection with the equity and debt financing of their strategic growth investment in Agilio Software
