Sylvia R. Ewald is a Counsel in the Complex Litigation and Alternative Dispute Resolution department at Goodwin. She concentrates her practice in representing individuals and companies in complex commercial litigation, securities litigation, criminal defense, and internal and government investigations. Sylvia advises clients across a wide range of industries, including financial services, life sciences, and technology. Sylvia has successfully handled many cases for clients in California and throughout the United States.

Professional Experience
Prior to joining Goodwin in 2021, Sylvia was Counsel at Robins Kaplan LLP in Minneapolis, Minnesota, and an Assistant United States Attorney in the Central District of California. As a federal prosecutor, Sylvia represented the United States of America in all stages of criminal prosecutions, including indictment, motions briefing and hearings, jury trials, sentencing, and appeals briefing and oral argument.
