Billy Chong is an international legal consultant in the firm’s Business Law Department and Private Equity group. Mr. Chong’s practice focuses on private equity investments, cross border mergers and acquisitions, and capital markets transactions.

Experience

Mr. Chong’s key experience includes:

  • Catcha Investment Corp (NYSE American: CHAA), a special purpose acquisition company, on its business combination with Crown LNG, a leading provider of offshore LNG liquefaction and regasification terminal technologies for harsh weather locations. The combined business has a pro forma implied enterprise value of approximately $685 million.
  • Penn Engineering & Manufacturing Corp. on its acquisition of Sherex Taiwan Corporation.
  • Templewater on the buy-out of oncology centers in Singapore, Malaysia and Philippines from TE Asia Healthcare Partners.
  • Hillhouse Investment on the subscription of convertible bonds of Oatly Group AB (OTLY.NASDAQ) and the purchase of its convertible bonds from Verlinvest.
  • LionRock Capital in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in leading shoe manufacturer and retailer Clarks.
  • Cachet Asset Management Ltd. on its investment in series A-3 preferred shares and series C preferred shares of Qeeka Home (Cayman) Inc. (1739.HK).*
  • NV5 Global, Inc. (NVEE.NASDAQ) on the acquisition of Industrial Design Associates International.*
  • The controlling shareholder of Speed Apparel Holding Limited (3860.HK) on the sale of 75% of the entire share to EPS Holdings, Inc. (4282.JP), which constitutes a mandatory unconditional cash offer.*
