Kathleen Treaster, Viona Harris and Monica Kwok to Participate in 2025 Leadership Council on Legal Diversity Programs

Each year, Goodwin sponsors lawyers to participate in the Leadership Council on Legal Diversity (LCLD) programs.

Goodwin takes pride in this affiliation with the LCLD, which, established in 2009, now includes more than 400 corporate chief legal officers and managing partners of law firms. LCLD members have committed to fostering a legal profession in the United States that is genuinely diverse, inclusive, and more equitable through programs such as LCLD Pathfinders and Fellows that foster opportunities to train legal leaders, network across the legal industry, and develop strategies that can be utilized to create a more inclusive and equitable practice.

We are proud to announce that associates Viona Harris and Monica Kwok have been selected as our 2025 LCLD Pathfinders, and partner Kathleen Treaster has been chosen as our 2025 LCLD Fellow. These outstanding attorneys were selected following a rigorous evaluation of their work ethic, leadership potential, community involvement, and commitment to fostering a more diverse and inclusive legal profession.

The LCLD Pathfinder Program is designed for early-career attorneys who have demonstrated exceptional promise as future leaders. Through this program, Viona and Monica will develop critical skills in leadership, relationship building, and career development, tailored to both in-house and law firm practices. Monica, a trailblazing senior woman of color in the private equity M&A industry, shared her enthusiasm for the opportunity: “I’m excited to refine my foundational leadership skills and strengthen my career development strategies to support and inspire the next generation of diverse leaders here at Goodwin.” Viona expressed similar sentiments, noting her eagerness to enhance her professional and business development expertise.

The LCLD Fellows Program is a premier initiative focused on equipping senior attorneys with advanced leadership skills and expanding their professional networks. Participants benefit from interactions with distinguished leaders in the legal field, as well as insights from experts in executive coaching and professional development. Kathleen shared her perspective on the program: “This platform provides a unique opportunity to foster external collaboration, explore intersectional diversity, and build meaningful connections with other diverse attorneys for both networking and business development.”

Congratulations to Viona, Monica and Kathleen on their selection to this prestigious program!
