Goodwin partner Brett Schuman has been named to Daily Journal’s Top Trade Secrets Lawyers for 2024. The annual award recognizes California-based lawyers on the cutting edge of trade secrets law.
The Daily Journal highlighted Schuman’s impressive track record in trade secrets litigation with nearly 30 years of experience. His practice includes copyright and trade secret litigation, including trade secret litigation relating to employee mobility and trade secret litigation between competitors.
Schuman serves as Co-Chair of Goodwin’s Intellectual Property Litigation practice and is a member of the firm’s Executive Committee. His patent practice includes patent infringement cases in areas such as mobile phone technology, semiconductor fabrication, and pharmaceuticals.
Schuman also co-founded and co-chairs Goodwin’s Cannabis practice, where he represents and advises clients on various issues, including on IP issues and in IP litigation. For example, Schuman has represented leading brands such as KIVA and Raw Garden in federal trademark infringement litigation matters.
In addition to this honor, Schuman has been named a Top Intellectual Property Lawyer by Daily Journal, and is highly ranked in Chambers USA for Cannabis Law. He has also been recognized by The Legal 500 US, Litigators of the Week, IAM Patent 1000 and The National Law Journal.
