Our Paris Technology team advised Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan, Canada's largest single-profession pension plan, on its investment in the €173 million Series F financing of Alan, a healthcare specialist for private-sector employees. The company is now valued at €4 billion.
The round was led by Belfius, one of Belgium’s largest banks, as well as some of Alan’s existing investors, namely OTPP (Ontario Teachers’ Pension Plan), Temasek, Coatue, and Lakestar.
Alan is a French insurtech founded in 2016. It stands out for its digital approach, offering simple, transparent and easy-to-use health insurance services. Over the years, it has expanded its offering to include a wider range of medical services and products, aiming to simplify access to healthcare and improve the user experience.
This financing will allow Alan to accelerate its growth by enhancing its platform's capabilities and driving international expansion.
The Goodwin team was led by Benjamin Garçon and included Louis Taslé d’Héliand and Grégoire Mongis on corporate aspects.
