Goodwin partner Laura Umbrecht Gulick has been named a 2024 Woman of Influence by the Philadelphia Business Journal. The annual list recognizes outstanding businesswomen who are making a significant impact in the Greater Philadelphia area.
A partner in Goodwin’s Life Sciences group, Laura represents public and private pharmaceutical, biotechnology medtech, pharma services, and medical device companies and their investors in connection with a wide range of complex corporate transactions, and she also advises clients on a variety of corporate governance and securities law matters. She is a standout dealmaker who has worked with many high-profile clients in the biotechnology and pharmaceutical sectors, and has been pivotal in Goodwin’s expansion into the Philadelphia market.
Beyond her practice, Laura co-leads the Philadelphia chapter of Goodwin's Women@Goodwin affinity group, which is focused on advancing women in the legal profession. She is also a committed supporter in advancing food security in the Philadelphia region, including through her service as a volunteer for the South Philadelphia Community Fridges organization. Laura also supports the Homeless Advocacy Project in her pro bono work.
Laura and the other Women of Influence honorees will be recognized at an event in Philadelphia in October. Her achievements will be featured in the Philadelphia Business Journal's print edition on October 11.
