Goodwin’s HBCU Scholarship Program for the 2024 – 2025 law school academic year is open for applications. Now in its third year, the program provides $15,000 scholarships to graduating seniors who are currently attending, or have recently graduated from, HBCUs and have been accepted to an ABA-accredited law school for fall 2024.
“As a Morehouse College graduate, I am proud that Goodwin is offering this scholarship for a third year.” said Goodwin partner and CRED@Goodwin Co-Chair Calvin Wingfield. “The firm’s focus on HBCU graduates recognizes the role that HBCUs play in feeding the pipeline of talented students into law schools. This scholarship is an effort to serve the community and the legal profession beyond the firm’s walls by strengthening that pipeline.”
Awardees will have the opportunity to interact with Goodwin lawyers over the course of the year, as well as learn more about our organizations and various legal practices. Each awardee will also be exposed to mentorship from Goodwin attorneys in group and individual settings during their 1L year. Upon completion of their 1L year at law school, the scholarship recipients will be considered for positions in Goodwin’s 1L Diversity Fellowship program.
Application guidelines and forms are available online; the application deadline is May 3rd, 2024. If you have any questions, please contact HBCUscholarships@goodwinlaw.com or visit https://www.goodwinlaw.com/hbcu.
