Litigator of the Week Runners-up honors IP Litigation partners Robert Carroll and Robert Frederickson, and their team who secured a preliminary injunction last week for client Insulet Corp. against EOFlow, an insulin patch pump maker that Medtronic plans to acquire for $738 million by the end of the year. Chief U.S. District Judge Dennis Saylor in Boston said at a hearing last week there was “strong evidence of misappropriation” by four former Insulet employees that EOFlow brought on to work on its pump who accessed confidential Insulet information “including what appear to be hundreds, if not more, of Insulet’s confidential documents, including CAD file drawings, failure modes and effects analyses, manufacturing protocols and instructions, testing protocols, algorithms, and the like.” The team also includes Scott Bluni, Jenny Zhang, James Breen, Matthew Ginther, Tim Keegan, Shweta Rao and Al Lessard.
