Global law firm Goodwin today announced that Liza Craig joined the Global Trade practice as a partner, resident in the Washington, D.C. office.

Craig counsels clients on all aspects of the procurement process, including the proposal preparation and submission process; the resolution of disputes related to awards, administration, and termination of government contracts; and on matters related to contract compliance. As a former Department of Defense attorney, she has notable experience working with the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency and the Department of Defense to help clients navigate the laws and regulations governing the issuance and maintenance of security clearances necessary to perform classified work for the U.S. government. She is also an adjunct professor at the George Washington University Law School and the Georgetown University Law Center, where she lectures on government contracts and mediation and dispute resolution.
Prior to her career in private practice, Craig worked as a senior associate counsel with the Department of the Navy Office of the General Counsel for over a decade. In this role, she provided legal counsel to numerous Navy general and flag officers and senior executives, as well as their staffs, primarily focusing on procurement law, fiscal law, government contract administration matters, and government ethics.
