DCA Live recently recognized Goodwin partner Cammy Contizano as a 2020 Emerging Woman Leader in Private Practice. Contizano is a partner in the firm’s Private Equity group and its Impact and Responsible Investing practice, where she employs a collaborative approach and commitment to guiding clients throughout the entire corporate life cycle.
Contizano’s practice includes advising on minority investment and buyout transactions for private equity, growth equity and impact investors, as well as on private tender offers for a host of clients, including companies, mutual fund complexes and private equity and growth equity investors. In the past year, she has worked on over 40 private tender offers and other direct secondary transactions ranging from $10 to $300 million.
Beyond her billable matters, Contizano serves as co-chair of Women@Goodwin in D.C., supporting the firm’s efforts to develop, advance and retain female lawyers, and runs Goodwin’s Good Read program, which promotes reading at a local school. She is also a Private Equity Pro Bono Committee member and does pro bono work for the LuMind Research Down Syndrome Foundation.
The Emerging Women Leaders in Private Practice Awards highlight successful women lawyers in the Washington region who are emerging as leaders both within their firm and the broader legal community. Contizano will be honored at a ceremony in Washington, D.C. on March 11th.
