Goodwin Procter won two 2015 M&A Advisor Awards in the categories of Cross-Border Deal of the Year and Corporate and Strategic Acquisition of the Year. The firm was also selected as a finalist in 16 award categories, highlighting Goodwin’s industry strengths in financial services, technology, life sciences, private equity and real estate.
Goodwin won Cross-Border Deal of the Year for its representation of Northern Lights Capital Group in its combination transaction with Treasury Group Limited. The deal team was led by partner Robert Kester and also included partners Scott Webster, Peter LaVigne and Jennifer Fay; counsel Glynn Barwick; and associate Rachel Mitchell Smith.
For the Corporate and Strategic Acquisition of the Year Award, Goodwin was recognized for advising PayChoice in its sale to The Sage Group. The deal team was led by Andrew Weidhaas, along with partners Jared Spitalnick and William Weiss; and associate Oreste Cipolla.
