Goodwin Procter partner Susan Abbott was recently honored with the Excellence in Pro Bono award by Massachusetts Lawyers Weekly. A reception honoring the five recipients of the 2014 pro bono award, as well as those receiving recognition on the Up & Coming Lawyers, Paralegal, Marketing and Firm Administration lists, will be held on May 1, 2014 in Boston. Abbott was previously recognized by the publication as one of the Top Women of Law in 2013.
Ms. Abbott is a partner in Goodwin’s Trust & Estate Planning practice and is head of the firm’s Tax-Exempt Organizations Group. Notably, she led the team at Goodwin that set up and obtained 501(c)(3) status for the One Fund Boston, the fund formed to benefit those affected by the Boston Marathon Bombings and related events.
