Summary
Please join The Legal Aid Society’s Community Development Project and Goodwin’s Neighborhood Business Initiative for a six-part workshop series designed to provide education for entrepreneurs about the legal and regulatory foundations involved in launching a cannabis business in New York.
You are welcome to attend one, several or all of the workshops. This series aims to maximize the social and economic equity aspects of the Marijuana Regulation and Taxation Act by making this information widely available, so we appreciate you sharing this invitation throughout your networks.
The fifth event in this series, Intellectual Property, discusses the different types of intellectual property and methods for protection of proprietary information, including trademarks, trade dress, copyrights, patents and trade secrets. This presentation will also discuss best practices to avoid unintentional infringement on intellectual property owned by another business.
