We are also pleased to announce that two of our partners—Jamie Fleckner and Brian Pastuszenski—will participate as panel speakers at the conference.
Brian E. Pastuszenski, a senior partner in Goodwin Procter’s Litigation Group and co-chair of the firm’s Securities Litigation & SEC Enforcement Practice, will speak on the panel “Litigation Update: Major Civil Cases.” This panel will address developments affecting securities class actions (including recent Supreme Court decisions), impact of the Supreme Court's Morrison decision on litigation over foreign issuer securities, case law developments concerning statutes of limitation and repose and tolling, and litigation concerning mortgage-backed securities, LIBOR and FIRREA.
Jamie Fleckner, a partner in Goodwin Procter’s Litigation Group and head of the firm’s ERISA Litigation Practice, will speak on the panel “Developments in Savings and Retirement Plans.” This panel, will discuss experience under DOL service provider fee disclosure requirements, fiduciary aspects of self-directed brokerage accounts, current retirement litigation issues, and allocation of recordkeeping revenue to plans and participant accounts, along with an update on the DOL.
