Part of their “View From the Top” series, the MIT Club of Northern California will host a night of networking and an informative panel discussion titled “Blockchain, Bitcoin, Cryptocurrency and ICOs” on Wednesday, December 6, 2017 at the Intercontinental San Francisco.
Panel discussion topics include: what is a cryptocurrency and why does it have value? What is an initial coin offering (ICO), and how have entrepreneurs raised billions of dollars in non-dillutive financing? Can existing startups add cryptocurrency to their business models?
Grant Fondo, partner and chair of Goodwin’s digital currency + blockchain technology practice will speak on the panel, along with industry leaders:
- Juan Benet, Founder & Chief Executive Officer of Filecoin
- Brad Garlinghouse, Chief Executive Officer of Ripple
